january memories.

Well i remember that on the 16 jan 1971 i entered the mission home, where the conference center now stands. Lyle and mam took me down in lyles oldsmobile. then to hit California with the palm trees and 60 degree weather it was a shock. Then i came home on the 21 of jan 1973. to frozen tundra, no girl freind. Randy playing b b all at the west minico jr high school. I changed clothes in the back of dads impala on the way to the school. at half time the little warriorettes did there marching routine, they were cute little girls, little did i know what lay ahead for one of them. I should have yelled Patrice run as fast as you can and dont look back. I'm happy the way things worked out, I have a wonderfull wife and four beautiful daughters, good son in laws, and the best dang grand kids i could have hoped for. I have great friends, good job, and i get to play in the shop all day. If i didnt have january would i appreciate june,.

dreaming of a white Christmas!!!!!!!

well here it is close to Christmas and the rain is making puddles in the drive way and every thing is dripping wet. I had to go measure rail on a new house on the river, the gate was locked to the road that led to the house through the field. I went to the nest mile and went to the Larsons house then continued along the bottom of the field for a mile spinning mud all over my truck. A lesser driver would have gotten stuck. I walked around back with my extension ladder to get to the deck above all around the house was new dirt as backfill needless to say i was glad to have the ladder to help me from disappearing. a taller man would have been ok. Then I,m on this new deck that is 16 inch square tiles, guess what the mess looked like when is was done. looked like someone had worked cattle for half a day. If the ground turns cold and covered with snow I will be lots happier. Merry Christmas If anyone has a good Idea for mom for Christmas Im all ears.

I have been a good boy , cept

Well christmas is about here, the tree is up, Moms decorations litter the front room and the nativities are safe down stairs, the bed is a little tricky to make because of the pillows! I can never get it just right and i havent figured out how to set them in the chair so in the morning i can just put them back. When i do get it figured out it will be time for a new quilt and new look. I have had a busy and wonderful year . I lost my dad and aunt bea, ill miss her hugs at church every sunday. and still waiting for my dollar from dads estate, unless the lawyer got it all. I havent got to play as much as i had hoped, water skiing, fishing, hunting, horse back riding, and taking mom on a get away. I guess you just have to play as you go so life is bearable. I have been blessed with good health, good family, wonderful wife great kids , adorable grand kids, stupid dog, lots of work and tools to do it with. What could i possibly need for Christmas, not much, just knowing my family is doing well and love to come home and feed apples to the horses and laughing at me when i run through the house in my long handles like an overweight balerina. and poking fun at me cause their jealeous of me and my media in the yard, Ive been a good boy cept i could have been better

still workingat delis

Well i'm still working at magic valley produce, Patrice came over sat. and brought lunch. here is a picture of the beam that you guys helped me set. Everytime i go over there, there is something new to figure out. I went over sat to finish welding the handrail around the stairs, but Jose louis said thet pete didn't like the stairs but didn't know where to put them,(I could tell him where to put them) He said the lady upstairs wouldn't have enough room. move the stupid wall upstairs 9 feet and put the conveyor over the stairs comming up.all the posts and red iron was the work I did this summer.
Chad called during the day and asked if i could meet him at delis's. I sure could in fifteen minutes. When i got there chad rolled his eyes and said here we go again.
Chad Warren Jose Luise (Mech.) Dave (know it all foreman) Dean (costa delis's grandson). They all said we needed more room and it was just to crowded and wouldnt work. I said cover the stairs comming up and put the conveyor on the top of it and move the wall back nine feet. mmmmm maybe that would work. Of course it would work im the wepenator. people need to just think a little. besides i've heard that there is a genius in the family.

DD layneee

Yesterday we got our work done and headed to firth to see the latest member of our family. As we got there Karisa was home alone up and around and doing really well.
She said at one time we could load up and go find Brent. (she just had a kid!!!)
I got to hold lanie and what a living doll. she is so precious , Long black hair and the longest fingers. My mom had the biggest hands and was so embarresd that all through high school she would try to hide them. Then she realized that heavenly father gave them to her to help other people. This morning i awoke to the D girl in my bed. her and i spent some time just getting to know her spirit, every move she made was so fun to watch. I am so glad she is here safe and sound and her mom is dong so well. Grandma P thinks keese will have them in the semi for the harvest. And Brent is so proud of the little girl that will be a big handfull but be his best freind in the whole world.
Im a pretty proud (Papa) myself. Patrice is staying for a few days and maybe by then she can get hudson to smile, (what a giggle puss) the other night when he came in and saw grandma parish. He was bouncing off the walls.
